Silence

I hear lost love
In the silence;
Echoes of what were
Possibilities before
My choices anchored me
And I could not move forward
Or fall back in time.

  1. This is beautiful Ben. "I hear lost love in the silence." This one line conveys so much. Lost love is a painful voice.

  5. Ben...the words are beautiful...capturing the same mystery silence can bring...do we break the chains, or do we cling to them out of comfort and familiarity? A ponderous little weave, spun wonderfully to capture the same essence of the beautiful photo you selected to accompany it. Bravo!

  6. Sounds like a pretty good summation of the paralysis I experienced when deciding whether to divorce or not. I didn't want any of the options available to me - I wanted to go back to what it used to be. But that wasn't possible.

  7. Wonderful, haunting description of a certain kind of silence. Perhaps another kind of stillness, with an echo of comfort, will one day envelop you.
