Lined with Snow

*** Lined with Snow ***
.
What the future holds
We cannot know
Its inner folds
Are lined with snow.

The thaw’s years off
From now and then
The Lord God coughs
Upon our Zen.

We may laugh or cry
At turns of fate
Ask heaven why
Such times await.

We may forsake our soul
In rash pursuit of sense
Forget it makes us whole
In desire to condense.

But in the end so bitter sweet we must
Accept the dichotomies of rain –
Its peaceful fall and violent gust
Its pounding, dripping on the pane.
I love you Mali, with all my heart.

A Day in the Pocket

A Day in the Pocket

Cast:

Mohandas Gandhi
Queen Elizabeth
Thomas Jefferson
Andrew Jackson

Scene opens with actors in currency costumes; they are laying around as if dropped; setting is within a lady’s purse

Queen Elizabeth: That was a dreadful fall, what a way to treat your queen!

Gandhi: Perhaps they honor no king or queen but God.

Queen Elizabeth: As my subject I implore you to keep silence from such blasphemies.

Thomas Jefferson: A man must make his own mandate in this world.

Andrew Jackson: And forever fight to keep it true.

Gandhi: But fight with heart, not ammo.

Jackson: A battle of hearts is no battle at all. Men are minds, men are bones and limb.

Gandhi: I disagree, the heart pumps life to all of these, it is intertwined.

Queen Elizabeth: Less chatter, more bowing!

Jackson: Off with that shrew’s head!

Gandhi: Please, kill not. Let her see the folly in her desire to control.

Thomas Jefferson: Evil is not so easily negotiated down.

Gandhi: It is a slippery slope, is all. One strike will bring another until our humanity is forsaken and nothing can exist but rage.

Queen Elizabeth: Sing me a song Gandhi.

Gandhi: I politely refuse.

Queen Elizabeth: Then I will force you.

Gandhi: So be it.

The Queen tries to force Gandhi’s mouth into song but he does not fight back; she soon tires with guilt and sits down

Queen Elizabeth: And let that be a lesson to you.

Gandhi: Her will has weakened but her pride remains.

Jackson: And to think of all we’ve lost with war!

Jefferson: I’ve been a fool, what lessons I have taught! My nation will succumb to war!

Gandhi: Don’t lose faith in God. He will put light into their hearts.

Jefferson: And what if he does not?

Gandhi: He shall.

Jackson: He shall.

Jefferson: He shall.

Elizabeth: I’m feeling very lonely.

Gandhi: You’ve begun the slow recovery from hate.

Elizabeth: shivering How long will it last?

Gandhi: For every prayer you say and every vice renounced the ugliness within will diminish and retire, until your heart blooms as a tulip on a sweet Spring day.

Elizabeth: Sounds lovely.

Gandhi: Yes.
Mali, I need you.

Escalator Underworld

Escalator Underworld
.
My magic mall
So full of wonder

I hear its call
From deep down under.

Beneath the stalls
And goods asunder.

Below the walls
Its endless plunder –

I whirled
And I swirled.

I twirled
I unfurled.

I grabbed both legs and curled
To the escalator underworld –

Inverted dolls sold by the bundle
Gloomy halls so full of thunder.

The backwards scrawls
From faceless dunders.

Mad men from Gaul
Made all a blunder –

I whirled
And I swirled.

I twirled
I unfurled.

I grabbed both legs and curled
To the escalator underworld.

Gerald O'Hara

Gerald O'Hara
.
I wanna go like Gerald O'hara
Forsaking my reality
Riding my last ride.

I wanna go like Gerald O'hara
Up in transcendant blaze,
From out this mortal world.

I wanna go like Gerald O'hara
Racing with the devil
to reclaim Tara.

I wanna go like Gerald O'hara
Thinking time just might reset itself
if I put forth the faith.

I wanna go like Gerald O'hara-
To be so selfishly rambunctious;
Believe that I'm invincible.

I wanna go like Gerald O'hara
Knowing I am seconds from
My dearest Ellen.

I wanna go like Gerald O'hara
Yelling for the things I love
that vanished with the wind.
I wrote this post in Georgia font.  Pretty ironic, eh?

My Mermaid in Eternity

My Mermaid in Eternity
.
Scuba diving in the ocean depths most deep
Reflects the fathoms of my heart that weep.

The Squid and schools of fish float out of reach
Singing songs of love washed up on the beach.

A starfish shines so neon bright to taunt
Forcing my mind toward memories that haunt.

I see my darling in the city lights
Beset with wild thrills and joys of night.

Quite mirthfully I call to her out loud –
Seaweed encapsulates her in a shroud.

The sun reflecting on the surface dims
Darkness takes away her face and limbs.

She bobs a mere torso in the current
A sordid case of organs to lament.

Still, I reach out toward what is left of her
And smell the faintest hint of perfume myrrh.

Her body briefly does reform its shape
Down to every, blemish, scar and scrape.
.
We make love but she’s expressionless
Bringing tears of grief I can’t suppress.

Her soul has gone beyond where I can look;
On past the winding rivers, trees and brook!
If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.

Diet

Diet
.
I’m on a diet
But not from what I’ve ate.

I’m on a diet
From misery and hate.

I’m on a diet
‘Cause there’s too much on my plate.

I’m on a diet
From professions of this planet's 'gloomy fate.'
I’m on a diet
From my thoughts that won’t abate.

I’m on a diet
From those whose job is to berate.
.
I’m on a diet
From the power hungry ‘who relate.’

I’m on a diet
From the failed debates.

I’m on a diet
From the billionaire estates.

I’m on a diet
From all but my soul mate.

I’m on a diet…
And I won’t lose weight.
Annually you will shake hands with 6 men who have recently masturbated and did not wash their hands.

My Humps

Found this interesting explanation to the song Lady Humps online:

My Humps by the Black Eyed Peas was released in 2005 and reached number 3 in both the US and UK charts. The lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, gave an interview in Q magazine, explaining the lyrics of this song. She explained that the song is basically about herself and her lifestyle. When she sings about her hump she is talking about her left forearm that, in the Hindu religion represents tranquillity. The lumps she is singing about are based on a car accident that she was involved in when she was 16 years old. She was driving down a road in her yellow VW when she skidded and crashed straight into a tree and the injury from this accident has left her with a lump. It is a common miss conception that this song is about sex and people are surprised when they learn the true meaning of the lyrics.

In response to this I leave you the lyrics:

What you gon' do with all that ass?
All that ass inside them jeans?
I'm a make, make, make, make you scream
Make you scream, make you scream.
What you gon' do wit all that breast?
All that breast inside that shirt?
I'ma make, make, make, make you work
Make you work, work, make you work.

Wow, huh?
