Forever Still

I’d hold that minute
With my lips forever
Still and wishing how
Our hands weren’t
Tied to other hands;
Black and skeletal
While ticking down
And showing no remorse.
If only time would slow
As hearts sped up;
Kisses lasting for as long
As memories sustaining us
Between them.

    1. Much obliged, Wander. Not sure if the context was right for that. It just sounded cool.

  4. I keep finding poets whose work makes me stop to read the words aloud ... Damn. Another!

    1. Very cool. I love hearing people read my words, seeing what's emphasized by others and such.

  5. Ah Mr. Ditty. Hands tied to other hands. When hearts are involved, timing is a bitch . A relevant poem. Can I just say...I have to remember to mute my computer when I come here. When I read, it is almost like transporting into the scene. When the music kicks in, and I am shot out, and have to start all over again on mute. Not that I don't LOVE your music. I do. But I have to compartmentalize the two things. They are both important to me, and neither get full attention when shared with the other. Tied to other hands. I need them separate.
