For Japan

Moonquake

It rocked the lunar surface
Like a bomb went off.

It tore through landers and
The different flags left up.

Below, the earth
Could only watch

As their single moon
Split into two

Then, slowly drifted
Out of orbit

Leaving us to bake
Or freeze dependent
On our latitude.

  1. Very interesting concept, to write about the disaster, but use a different stage (the moon). I hesitate to say I like it (in the light of the tragedy itself) but I really do like it.

  2. Well, there's different levels of liking something. You can like the content and how it illuminates the situation.
