From Rose to the Doctor, a sonnet
You took me in the Tardis to a distant age
Where you were all I had, and all I knew;
Of the eons you appeared a timeless sage
Of your origins I could not construe.
The first in my heart, the last of your kind
Regenerated to a perfect man;
Unmatchable, an endless mind
The universe it seemed to span.
In many ways you became my Gallifrey
Mysterious with history and isolated
Alone within the depths so far away
Yet never truly capable of being dated.
Even now I hear your voice come out the void
Despite the fact our link has been destroyed.

You've found your way inside my head and now there's no way out!
